The Parameters page of the Service Editor provides the options to set the cluster, execution mode, properties, and directories of a service.
Note:
The settings you modify on the Parameters page affect all tasks within the service. If each task requires different settings you will have to publish individual services for those tasks.
Note:
Parameter settings can be changed on a published service; you do not need to republish the service in order to change these settings.
Pooling and Processing
The Pooling and Processing page of the Service Editor provides options to change the number of instances for the service. The number of instances should be set to appropriate values after considering the amount of hardware resources available versus how many requests the service may have to serve. You can also set time-out values, such as how long a user can make use of a service or when recycling happens.
Note:
Pooling and Processing settings can be changed on a published service; you do not need to republish the service in order to change these settings.
