Users of ArcGIS Mission Manager can be separated into three distinct personas—Mission Manager Editor, Mission Manager Owner, and Mission Manager Administrator—that are all defined by their respective roles and privileges. These personas can all be members of a mission that can view, collaborate, and actively participate in a mission. Capabilities of each persona are described below.
Mission Manager Editor
The Mission Manager Editor persona is a member of a mission who can view and actively participate in a mission. This includes composing chats and geomessages and monitoring all mission activities. Based on their privileges, a Mission Manager Editor cannot create a mission or modify another user's mission.
Mission Manager Owner
The Mission Manager Owner persona is a member of a mission, or a mission owner, who can view and actively participate in a mission This includes composing chats and geomessages and monitoring all mission activities. Based on their privileges, a Mission Manager Owner can create a mission and modify its details but cannot modify another mission owner's mission.
Mission Manager Administrator
The Mission Manager Administrator persona is a member of a mission, or a mission owner, who can view and actively participate in a mission. This includes composing chats and geomessages and monitoring all mission activities. Based on their privileges, a Mission Manager Administrator can create a mission, modify its details, and modify another mission owner's mission.

- Data Editor (supports the capabilities of a Mission Manager Editor persona)

- Publisher (supports the capabilities of a Mission Manager Editor or Owner persona)
- Administrator (supports the capabilities of a Mission Manager Editor, Owner, or Administrator persona)
Supported privileges for custom roles
